You can find us right on Dashaswamedh Road, which is pretty much the heart of everything here. Being so close to Pandey Ghat means we are always in the middle of the crowd. It’s noisy, there are bells ringing, and people are everywhere. We opened this spot because we liked being near the water and the main market. Our day starts with sweeping the front and checking who needs help with their travel plans. It’s a small place, nothing like those big corporate offices you see in newspapers. We deal with boat rides, car bookings, and showing people the right way to the temples. Sometimes travelers get confused by the narrow lanes, so they pop in just to ask for directions. We don’t mind. It’s part of living in this part of Varanasi. We’ve got a few desks and a lot of papers scattered around. The heat in the summer makes the fan work overtime, but we stay put. People come from all over the world, and we just try to speak clearly and get them what they need. No big promises or flashy signs here. Just a local business trying to keep up with the rush of the ghats. It’s a lot of talking and a lot of tea. We stay open until late because the evening arti brings in so many people. It’s just us, doing what we know on a very busy street corner.
