Handia Farmer Producer Company Limited is located in Jagdishpur. Mritunjay Bahadur Singh is the person we usually go to for the paperwork side of things. We are a group of farmers from around the Handia area. It’s a pretty simple setup. We all have our own bits of land, but we use this company to help us get things done together. Farming can be lonely if you’re just on your own all the time. This way, we can talk about the prices and the seeds. We don't have a big shiny office. We usually meet up at the house in Jagdishpur or out in the fields. The weather around here can be tough sometimes. We’ve had years where everything goes wrong, but we just keep planting. We don't use any big words to describe ourselves. We are just workers. Most of us have been farming since we were young. We know the land in Handia pretty well. It's not a fast life, but it's a busy one. We try to keep our costs down by sharing what we can. It’s just an honest way to make a living. We don't have a lot of rules, just that everyone does their part. If you’re in Jagdishpur, you’ll see us working. We don't have anything to hide, just plain folks trying to do right by the soil. It's a hard life, but we don't know any other way to spend our days.
