Haleema Crafts

Haleema Crafts is located at A26/1-16Ka in Hasanpura. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren’t used to the narrow streets and the way the buildings are clustered together. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s where we do all our packing and the small details of our work. There are always people moving about in Hasanpura, so it’s never really quiet. Inside our space, you’ll find heaps of fabric and different materials we use for our crafts. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door is the one who answers it. It’s a very hands-on kind of environment. We spend our mornings checking what needs to be sent out and our afternoons working on new items. The lighting isn't always the best, but we make it work. It’s a small family-run setup, so everyone does a bit of everything. One day I might be doing the accounts and the next I’m helping load a rickshaw with boxes. We don't use any high-tech systems, just some basic registers and our memory. It feels like a real workshop where things are actually made and handled. We are just regular people who enjoy the craft and the daily grind of running a small business in this part of the city.
