Our address is House Number 14 in the village of Beruka. It’s near Usfar in the Mathura district. If you come looking for us, you’ll see it’s a very local operation. We don't have big signs or anything. Just a group of people from the village trying to make farming work a bit better for ourselves. Mathura is a place with a lot of history, but for us, it’s just home and where our fields are. Gsps Farmer Producer Company Limited was started because we realized we could get better prices for things if we bought them as a group. We don't have any fancy mission statements. We just want to be able to buy what we need and sell what we grow without too much trouble. Sometimes the meetings get a bit loud because everyone has their own opinion on how to do things. That’s just part of being in a village group. We handle the grains and whatever else we are growing that year. The office is usually just a place to store some bags and keep the books. We aren't trying to be some big corporate entity. We just want to make sure the farmers in Beruka have a fair shake. It’s hard work, and the days are long, but doing it together makes it a little easier to handle the ups and downs. We just take it day by day and hope for the best.
