Gramin Vikas Kranti Farmer Producer is based in Gopalapur. We use Lolarakh Singh’s place as our main point of contact. We are a group of local people who spend our days out on the farms. We started this because we felt that working together would be better for everyone in the village. We don't have any fancy talk or a big office. It’s just a simple room where we keep our papers and talk about the harvest. Most of us have been farming for a long time, so we know what we’re doing on the land, but the business side is something we’re still handling together. We try to get things like seeds and tools in bulk so they are a bit cheaper. It’s not always easy, and sometimes there’s a lot of debate about what to do, but we manage. Lolarakh does a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to the paperwork. We aren't looking to become some huge enterprise. We just want to make sure the farmers in Gopalapur can get a fair deal for their work. It’s a hard life, and the weather doesn't always cooperate, so having this company helps us feel a bit more secure. We are just ordinary people doing our work and trying to make a living from the ground.
