Golden Travel

Golden Travel is based out of Gandhi Nagar in the Naria area of Varanasi. It’s a bit further away from the main riverfront compared to some other places, but it's a good residential neighborhood. We started this small travel desk because there weren't many options for people living around here. Most of our customers are locals who live in Naria or students from the university nearby. We don't have a big fancy storefront with neon lights. It’s just a simple room with a desk, a couple of chairs, and a map on the wall that is a bit outdated. We handle mostly train bookings and taxi services for families going on holiday or visiting relatives. It's usually just me and my cousin working here. We don't have a big fleet of cars, but we know a lot of local drivers we can call when someone needs a ride. The office is quiet most mornings, then gets busy in the evening when people are coming home from work. We don't use any high-tech systems, just the standard booking portals and our phone contacts. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a booking if the server was down during the day. It isn't glamorous work, but it keeps us busy. We like being in Naria because it feels more like a community than a tourist trap. People know us by name and we know them too. We just try to keep things running smoothly for everyone who stops by.
