Deenshah Gaura Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in our village. We are located at Ram Pratap’s place in Charuhar Bikcharuhar. It is a quiet spot where everyone is a neighbor. We are just a group of farmers who decided to work together to handle our business. Doing everything by yourself was getting to be too much, especially with prices changing all the time. Now we buy our supplies and sell our crops as a group. We don't have a big staff of people, just us and some extra help when it is harvest time. The work is tough and the days are very long. We are usually out in the fields before the sun is even up. We talk about the soil and the water and what the market might be like next month. It is not a polished or fancy business. We have dirt on our boots and we use plain language. We don't have any big plans to get huge. We just want to make sure the land is taken care of and that we get enough money to keep farming next year. Sometimes we meet at Ram Pratap’s house to check the books or just to talk. It is a very local thing. We grew up here and we care about this place. Farming is a risk every year, but doing it together makes it feel a little safer. We just take it one day at a time.
