S. S. Engineering Works

Out here in Vapi, things move pretty fast, especially in the GIDC area. S. S. Engineering Works is located right in the middle of Phase-3, specifically at Coberge Packaging C-1, 2301-2302. It is an industrial spot, so there is always a truck idling nearby or someone moving crates around. Inside our space, it’s mostly about the machines. We spend the day dealing with various engineering tasks. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by the afternoon. It gets hot in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and stay focused. We’ve been at this for some time. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit. You’re more likely to see us in work shirts that have seen better days. Vapi is a busy place for manufacturing, and we fit right into that. People come to us when they have technical issues with their equipment or need specific parts handled. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk. We’d rather just show you the work we did on a lathe or a drill press. The office part is small, just enough space for a couple of chairs and the ledgers. We mostly stay out on the shop floor because that is where the real work happens. It’s a lot of repetitive stuff sometimes, but getting the measurements right is what matters to us in the end.
