Down at Plot No. 297/3 in the II Phase of GIDC, things are pretty steady. We’re Amar Engineering, and we’ve been operating out of this small corner for a good while. The shop isn't huge, but it's enough for the tools and the work we handle. You can usually hear the sound of grinding or welding coming from the open door if you’re walking past. The floor is concrete and has seen a lot of wear over the years. We keep our tools organized, more or less, though things tend to get scattered when we’re in the middle of a big job. It's mostly just a few of us here. We know how each other works, so we don't have to talk much once the day gets going. The lighting isn't the best in the back, but we’ve got some big lamps for when we need to see the fine details. The II Phase gets crowded with delivery vans in the afternoon, so we try to get our supplies delivered early. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. If you need something, you just walk in and find someone in overalls. It’s a practical place. We focus on the metalwork and making sure the parts are right. It’s what we know how to do, and we just stick to it without much fuss. We've been at this plot long enough to know the neighbors well.
