Shri Madhavdev Shastri Swaminarayan High School

We are located right on Tithal Road in Valsad, specifically in K-Lane. If you know the area, it is pretty easy to find us. The school has been part of this neighborhood for quite some time now. Every morning, the street gets a bit crowded with bicycles and parents bringing their kids in. It is just the way things go here. The building itself is old, but it stays sturdy. We have high ceilings in the classrooms which helps during those really hot summer months in Gujarat. Our staff mostly consists of local people who have lived in Valsad their whole lives. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles here. It is just a place where kids come to sit at their desks and listen to their teachers. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees come onto the roof and make a lot of noise, which distracts the students for a bit. We just carry on with the lessons. During the monsoon, the lane can get a little muddy, so everyone has to watch their step. Most of the families around here know us well since their older children came here too. It is a simple setup. We have the usual blackboards and wooden benches. Nothing is very fancy. We just focus on getting through the books and making sure the exams happen on time. It feels like a small community inside these walls. That is basically what we are about here.
