Hajiyani N M Bilakhia Modern English Secondary School

Our school, Hajiyani N M Bilakhia Modern English Secondary School, is located at number 1 in Imran Nagar, Valsad. It has a long name, but most people just know where we are. We are a secondary school, so the kids here are a bit older and sometimes a bit more rowdy. The building sits in a residential area, so we are part of the daily life of the people living around Imran Nagar. We have our classrooms spread out, and we try to keep things organized, even when it gets busy. It’s an English medium school, so we focus on that, but it’s still very much a local place. The walls have some posters made by students, and the corridors always have someone rushing to a class. We don’t have much in the way of fancy equipment, but we have enough to get the job done. The staff room is usually full of papers and tea cups. We just get through the school year, one term at a time. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows and keep going. It’s not always easy, but it’s what we do. We’ve been a fixture in this part of Valsad for quite a while now and we just keep on going. The families around here trust us with their kids, and that is plenty for us.
