Shree Zinabhai Nathubhai Palanwala Madhyamik Shala

Our school is called Shree Zinabhai Nathubhai Palanwala Madhyamik Shala. We are located in Ghadoi, which is a part of Valsad district. The zip code is 396001. It’s a secondary school, so we have the older kids from the village and nearby areas. The building is fairly basic and has definitely seen better days, but it serves the purpose for our classes. We have a few large trees in the courtyard which provide some much-needed shade. During the breaks, the kids mostly sit under them to escape the sun. Our classrooms have the standard old benches and scratched-up boards. We don't have a lot of extra equipment or fancy labs. The teachers are mostly local and they have been teaching here for many years. It’s a real community place where we know all the parents and see them around the local market. It’s not a fancy private school, just a regular madhyamik shala for the local families. We have the usual exams and small school events throughout the year. Sometimes the power goes out in the middle of a lesson, but we just keep going. It’s just how things are here in Ghadoi. We don't have a big front office or a fancy lobby area. You just walk through the gate and you are in the middle of everything. It’s a loud and busy place during the day but gets quiet once the final bell rings. We go home then and come back tomorrow.
