Desai Industries

Our small factory, Desai Industries, is located at Plot No. 101/4 in the Rakholi Industrial Estate. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't familiar with the layout of the estate, but we like it here. We do various types of manufacturing work depending on what the local market needs at the time. The building is a bit old and the paint is peeling in some spots, but it serves its purpose. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of worktables and a few machines humming away. We don't have a big management team or anything like that. It’s usually just the owner and a handful of workers making sure things get packed correctly. We have a lot of regular customers who just drop their orders off and pick them up a few days later. It’s a very informal way of doing business, but it has worked for us for years. We eat our lunch together under the tree outside when the weather is nice. We don't use any fancy software to track things; a lot of it is still written down in big ledgers. It might seem a bit old-fashioned to some people, but it keeps things simple. We aren't looking to expand into some huge company. We’re happy just keeping the machines running and staying busy with the work we have. It’s a quiet life in Rakholi, and we prefer it that way.
