Star Engineering

Star Engineering is based at Plot No. L/2624/12 in the 2nd Phase of Gidc. It’s a bit tucked away, but we like it that way. The 2nd Phase is always busy with trucks coming and going. Our shop is where we do all our engineering tasks. We’ve got lathes and milling machines that take up most of the floor space. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a large shipment of raw material in. We don't have a polished showroom. If you come to see us, you’re going to see us in our work clothes, probably covered in some grease. We’ve been here for years and the walls have the stains to prove it. We don't make big promises or use marketing talk. We just look at the blueprints and get to work. Sometimes the power goes out in the area and we all just sit outside until it comes back on. It’s part of the charm of working in an industrial zone. We know most of the other shop owners around here. We help each other out with tools sometimes. It’s a practical environment. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just have a calendar and a clock. We focus on finishing what we started and making sure it's done right. That's how we spend our days at the plot. It is not glamorous but it is what we do well.
