Madhusudan Trading Company

Our shop is Number 6 in the Maharaja Shopping Centre. It’s right near the Gol Canteen in the Umbergaon GIDC area. Being near the canteen is actually pretty great because everyone stops there, so we get to see a lot of people passing by. Madhusudan Trading Company is a straightforward business. We trade in various goods that the local industries need. Umbergaon is a busy industrial hub, and being in the GIDC means there’s always a truck moving or someone looking for supplies. The shopping center itself is a bit older, but it serves us well. We have our shelves stacked high, sometimes a bit too high, but we know where everything is. It’s not a showroom where everything is under spotlights. It’s a working man’s shop. We spend our time talking to suppliers and helping customers who come in looking for specific items. The dust from the industrial area is a constant battle, but we just wipe down the counters and keep going. We don't have a big corporate story. We just started a trading business because there was a need for it here. Most of our customers are people we’ve known for years. We have a chat, we do the business, and that’s that. It’s just how we spend our days here in the middle of all these factories.
