M G M E S Sarvajanik Vidyalay

Our school, M G M E S Sarvajanik Vidyalay, sits in Valsad. We use a post box for a lot of our mail since that’s how things have been set up for a long time. It’s a local school and most people around here just call it by the shorter name. The building has seen many years and many students come and go. In the mornings, you can hear the bells from quite a distance. We have the usual set of classrooms and a space where the kids gather. It’s not a shiny new facility, but it’s sturdy and it does the job for the community. The teachers here live nearby mostly. We all know the local rhythm of Valsad. During the monsoon, the ground gets a bit muddy, but the kids don't seem to mind much. They still want to play outside. We spend our days mostly handling the classes and the regular administrative stuff that comes with running a school. It’s a lot of sitting at old wooden desks and going through notebooks. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just open the doors and get to work. The parents come by to talk about their children's progress or just to check in. It’s a friendly enough place. We keep things simple and practical. Being in the heart of Valsad means we are part of the daily life here, and that’s how we like it. We focus on the work and making sure students are in their seats.
