Nippon Tube Industries

Nippon Tube Industries is based at Plot No. 78 in the Gidc area. Mostly, you’ll see stacks of tubes and pipes all over our yard. The facility is basically a large warehouse where we do all the cutting and shaping. It can be quite loud when the saws are running, so we usually have to shout to hear each other. We’ve been in this Gidc plot for quite some time now, and we’ve seen a lot of neighbors come and go. Our team is a bunch of hard-working people who don’t mind getting some grease on their clothes. We don't really do the corporate thing with meetings and presentations. Instead, we just look at the orders for the day and get to it. Sometimes we have to stay late to get a shipment ready for a truck coming in early the next morning. It’s physical work, moving heavy metal around and making sure everything is the right length. The floor is concrete and can be hard on the feet, but we’re used to it. We keep things simple here. There’s a small area where we have our lunch and a stove for making tea. Most of the people who buy from us are other factories who need specific sizes for their own projects. We just try to keep the machines in good shape so we can stay busy. It’s a bit of a maze with all the different tube sizes stacked up, but we know where everything is.
