Yash High Voltage Insulators (P) Ltd.

Our facility is at 84/1-B on the Halol-Champaner Road in Khakharia. Being out here in the Savil area means we have a bit more space than the shops in the city. At Yash High Voltage Insulators (P) Ltd., the work is mostly about big parts and heavy materials. The building is quite large and open to keep the air moving. We have these large insulators stacked up in various stages of completion. It’s a lot of manual work mixed with some machine operations. The ground is often a bit dusty because of the trucks coming in and out of the yard. We have a small office section where we handle the billing and the orders, but most of us are out on the floor for most of the day. There’s a big water cooler near the entrance that everyone uses. We don't have fancy uniforms, just durable clothes that can handle the grit of the job. In the mornings, you can see the sun coming up over the road, which is actually quite a nice view before the heat kicks in. We take our tea breaks together under the shade of the overhang. It’s a straightforward way of living and working. We focus on the high voltage stuff and making sure everything is sturdy. No one here puts on airs; we just do the work that needs doing. We’ve been out here for years and the routine suits us just fine without any complications.
