X Ibits

Our place is at unit number 2 in Dhanushya Society No 1, situated on New Sama Road in Sama. It’s a fairly quiet spot, which is lucky because the work we do at X Ibits can get a bit loud and messy sometimes. We deal with exhibition stalls and displays, so there’s always wood being cut or metal frames being moved around. The office part is really just a corner with a couple of computers where we look at designs, but the rest of the space is for the materials. We’ve got rolls of vinyl, stacks of plywood, and various tools laying around. It’s not a showroom, it’s a workshop. We started out doing small local displays and slowly grew into taking on bigger setups. We don't really do much advertising because we're usually too busy with the current project to think about the next one. The neighborhood knows us as the guys who are always loading and unloading trucks at odd hours. We try to be quick so we don't block the road for the neighbors. It’s a practical business, run by people who like building things with their hands. We don't have a corporate structure, we just talk to each other and get the work done. It takes a lot of effort to keep everything organized when we have three different shows going on at once, but we manage it somehow, even when the workshop gets too crowded.
