World Wide Exports

Our office is at 108 in the Kabir Market, right on the Hathikhana Main Road. It’s a very crowded area with a lot of shops and people moving about all the time. We do export work, which mostly means we spend our time packing boxes and checking lists. The market is quite old, and our space is filled with stacks of cardboard and tape. It’s not a very big place, but we make it work. We’ve been in this same spot for a long time, so we know all the other shopkeepers around here. The road outside is always noisy with rickshaws and carts, but inside we just focus on the task at hand. We don't have a big marketing team or anything. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. We deal with all sorts of items that need to go overseas, so there is always a lot of tape and weighing scales being used. In the afternoons, it gets quite warm, so we keep the fans running high. We don't really have a formal way of doing things, just a routine that has worked for us. We make sure the labels are right and the boxes are sturdy enough for the long journey. It’s simple, repetitive work, but it’s what we do every day from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the shipments are late, but we just manage it as it comes.
