Western Chemist

Western Chemist is located right on the main road in Raopura. If you stand by the Raopura Tower, you can see us. We are also right across from the Shiyapura Police Station, which makes it very easy to give directions to people. This part of Vadodara is always loud and full of energy. There’s a lot of history in these streets. Our shop has a high ceiling and we’ve tried to make use of every inch of wall space for shelves. We deal with a lot of people every day. Some are just passing through and others have lived in Raopura their whole lives. It’s a lot of responsibility handling medicines. We spend time double-checking everything. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have a fancy interior, just wooden counters and glass cases. It’s functional. We stay open late because people in this area need things at odd hours. The police station across the way is a good landmark. We see the patrol cars coming and going all day. It’s a busy life. My hands are usually busy marking prices or unpacking crates. We don't do any big promotions. People just know we are here. It's a straightforward business and we like it that way. We've been part of this neighborhood for a long time and the tower is a constant sight for us every single morning.
