Operating out of Gidc Estate in Waghodia has its own rhythm. Being at Plot No. 188/14 here in Dist. Vadodara means we’re right in the thick of the industrial action. At Ambrosia Remediespvt. Ltd., the days can get pretty long, especially during the summer when the Gujarat heat is no joke. We’ve got the fans running constantly, but it’s still a warm place to work. We don’t go for any of that high-tech office look. Our space is filled with boxes, stacks of papers, and the smell of the stuff we’re putting together. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad, though the roads inside the estate can be a bit bumpy after the monsoon. We usually have a small lunch together under the shade when we can find a quiet moment. It’s an honest way to spend the day. There’s always a truck backing in or someone shouting over the noise of a generator nearby. We’ve learned to talk a bit louder to be heard. Our address is easy enough to find if you know the Gidc layout. We don’t have a receptionist sitting at a mahogany desk. Usually, whoever is closest to the door is the one who answers it. We just keep our heads down and try to finish the list of things to do before the sun goes down. It is hard work, but we are used to it.
