Opal Industries is just one of many units in this big industrial sprawl. The sun hits the metal roofs of these sheds and it gets incredibly hot inside by mid-morning. We have a few big fans going but they mostly just move the warm air around. We work with a variety of materials and the floor is usually busy with people moving crates or operating the machinery. It is not a place for office shoes because of the oil and metal shavings that end up on the ground. We have a small cabin for the accounts and that is about it for the indoor space. Most of the action is out on the floor where the real work happens. We have been in Makarpura for a good while and we have seen the estate change over the years. Some businesses come and go but we just keep doing our thing. Our routine is pretty much the same every day from the time the gate opens until we lock up in the evening.
