Vir Mobile is tucked away in Vadodara 2nd Main, 2nd Cross, Samrat Layout G 7. It’s more of a residential area, so it’s quieter than the main roads. I like it that way. Most of my customers are people who live in the layout. They come in for recharge vouchers or to get their phones updated. I have a small counter and a few chairs for visitors. The shop isn’t very big, but it’s enough for what I do. I have been here since the layout was still being built. I remember when there were only a few houses around. Now it’s quite full. I keep a lot of tempered glass and different types of chargers in the drawers. Sometimes I stay open late if someone tells me they are coming after work to pick up a repair. My family lives nearby, so I often go home for lunch and then come back. The air is a bit fresher here than in the center of the city. I don’t have a lot of help, so if I’m busy fixing a phone, people have to wait a minute. Usually, they don’t mind. We talk about the local news or the weather while I work. It’s a very local feel. I know most of the people by their names. It’s a simple shop and it keeps me busy through the week. I like the routine of opening up every morning and seeing the layout come to life.
