VMS Mobile Communication

If you go down R V Desai Road in Pratap Nagar, you will find VMS Mobile Communication at number 9. It’s a straightforward shop where we deal with all sorts of mobile phones and gadgets. We’ve got a display case that’s seen better days, but it holds everything we need. Most of the day is spent talking to customers about their data plans or trying to figure out why a phone won't charge. We aren't some big brand store with uniforms; we just wear what’s comfortable and get to work. The street outside is usually full of traffic, so it stays pretty noisy throughout the afternoon. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things are slow. Sometimes we help people set up their new devices because the settings can be confusing for some. We try to keep a decent variety of cases and chargers on the walls. It’s a small operation, mostly just us and the occasional helper when things get really busy. We have been in this part of Pratap Nagar for a good bit now and we know the shortcuts around the neighborhood. It’s a decent way to earn a living and we get to talk to a lot of different people every day. The shop stays open even when it rains because people always need their phones.
