Vandana Travels

Vandana Travels has its home at 50/2 Arunodaya Society in Alkapuri. Alkapuri is one of those parts of Baroda that everyone knows, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular space where we keep our files and take calls. The pin code is 390 004, right in the heart of things. We handle a lot of different travel requests, mostly from people who live nearby in the society or the neighboring streets. It gets hot in Gujarat, so we keep the AC running when we can afford to. Most days are spent looking at calendars and trying to figure out the best routes for people. We aren't into big advertisements or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. Someone tells a cousin, and then the cousin comes to see us. It’s a very local way of doing things. We have an old desk that’s seen better days, and the phone rings more than we’d like, but it keeps the lights on. Sometimes people just drop in to chat about their last trip. We listen and then get back to the paperwork. It’s a steady pace here. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just run a small travel desk in Alkapuri and help folks get from one place to another without too much fuss. It works for us.
