Umiya Hardware Stores

Our shop, Umiya Hardware Stores, is at number 7 in the Natubhai Complex. We’re right by the Old National Highway 8, near the Gidc Naka. It’s a busy intersection, so we get a lot of people stopping in while they’re passing through. The shop is pretty much what you’d expect from a hardware place. We have rows and rows of bins filled with screws, bolts, and all sorts of tools. It’s a bit dusty, and the shelves go all the way to the ceiling. I usually have to use a ladder ten times a day to reach things. We don't really have a staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is hidden. If you ask for a specific size of pipe fitting, we can usually find it, even if the place looks a bit messy. The Gidc Naka area is always full of trucks and workers, so we stay pretty active from morning until we close the shutters at night. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most people just know we’re here because we’ve been in this complex for years. It’s a simple life, selling hammers and nails and talking to the regulars who come in for their daily supplies. We just keep the inventory stocked and wait for the next person to walk through the door with a broken part they need to replace.
