You can find us at Fatehgunj Tilak Road 2. Tristar Retail is a small operation, mostly dealing with daily goods and some electronics. The location is busy, so there’s always noise from the traffic outside. I spent a lot of my savings to get this spot. It’s not a huge showroom, but we make the most of the square footage we have. We’ve got some glass cases for the smaller items and stacks of boxes for the rest. I spend a lot of time on the phone with distributors, trying to make sure we have what people are asking for. Sometimes the deliveries don't show up on time, and I have to apologize to the regulars. It’s frustrating, but that’s retail for you. I try to keep the shop clean, but with people coming in and out all day, the floor gets dirty fast. I usually sweep up once in the afternoon and again before we close. We don’t have a big marketing budget or flashy signs. Just a board out front with the name on it. Most people stop in because they’re already walking down Tilak Road. It’s a good spot to see the world go by. I sit on a stool behind the counter and wait for the next person to walk in. It’s steady work and it keeps me busy. We’re just a normal shop trying to do things right and keep the stock moving every day.
