If you find yourself on the Main Road in Kothi, you might pass by our shop. Tirupati Chemist has been a fixture here for quite some time. Kothi is a central area in Vadodara, so there is always a lot of movement. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. I spend my mornings checking the stock and talking to the delivery boys who drop off the crates. It’s a lot of paperwork and organizing small bottles. I try to keep the place tidy, but with so many different types of medicines, it’s a constant battle. People come in from the nearby offices or homes, usually in a hurry. I just get them what they need and they go on their way. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know the inventory well. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the emergency lights, which makes the shop feel a bit different. I grew up around here, so I know the shortcuts and the best places to grab a tea nearby. The Kothi area has its own rhythm, and we are just part of it. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything, just the name above the door. Most people find us because they live nearby or their doctor is in this part of town. It is simple work, but it keeps us on our feet all day long.
