If you look for Kapil Towers on Old Padra Road, you'll find us at B-4. It’s one of those big buildings where everyone is always in a hurry. Texon Telecom is just a small part of that. We handle a lot of the backend stuff for phones and systems that people don't usually think about. The air conditioning in the building is either freezing or not working at all, so we usually have a fan going at the desk. We’ve been here since the tower was relatively new. There's a lot of cables under the floorboards that I’m pretty sure don't lead anywhere anymore. We don't do much walk-in business, but sometimes people wander in looking for the bank upstairs. The view from the window is just the parking lot and the flyover, but it’s interesting to see the city move. We keep a stash of biscuits in the bottom drawer for the late afternoons. My desk is right by the door, so I see everyone coming and going. We aren't a huge corporation with fancy uniforms; we just wear what’s comfortable and focus on the technical tasks. Most days involve a lot of testing and re-testing things that should have worked the first time. It's steady work and the people here are alright. We try to keep things simple and not overcomplicate the daily routine as much as possible.
