We are located at the SPARC building on Akota Road, right in the heart of Akota. It’s a pretty well-known spot in this part of town, so usually, people don’t have much trouble finding us. The traffic on Akota Road can get a bit hectic during the morning rush, but once you get inside the gates, it’s a bit quieter. This building is where most of the heavy lifting happens in terms of our research and daily operations. It’s not an old building, but it definitely feels lived-in with all the equipment and desks squeezed in. We don’t really do much in the way of decorating; the focus is mostly on the lab work and the data we have to go through. People are usually walking around with clipboards or sitting hunched over their screens. There’s a decent little spot nearby for tea where most of us go to clear our heads for a few minutes. It’s a professional environment but in a very practical, non-pretentious way. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. The parking lot is always a bit of a puzzle to navigate, especially on Mondays. It’s a busy place with a lot of different things happening at once, but we manage to keep things moving along steadily.
