Steven Mobile

Steven Mobile is based on Nizampura Main Road, specifically at the 1st Main in Chalukyanagar. It’s a good location because there’s always something happening on the main road. Our shop is just a simple room filled with mobile accessories and a workbench in the back. I spend a lot of my time back there with a magnifying glass, trying to figure out why a phone won't charge. It’s quiet work, but the noise from Nizampura Main Road keeps me company. We have a lot of different people coming through the door. Some are in a hurry and others want to talk for an hour. We don’t mind either way. The shop floor is made of that dark cement that stays cool even when it’s baking outside. We have a few plants in the window, but they don't look very happy because of the dust from the road. We try to keep things organized, but the drawers are usually a mess of wires and old battery packs. It’s just how a mobile shop ends up looking after a few years. We’ve got a small mirror on the wall so people can see how they look with a new phone cover. It’s an honest living here in Chalukyanagar. We open up at ten and stay until the tea shop across the street closes. It’s not much, but it’s our place. Sometimes the cat from next door comes in to sleep on the rug.
