Down in Subhanpura, right near Hariom Nagar, that’s where you’ll find our office at 135 Santosh Nagar. We’ve been operating Sterling-Hoffman Software Consulltant Pvt.Ltd from this building on H.T Road for a good stretch of time. Baroda has changed a lot, but this corner stays pretty much the same. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of keyboards clicking and people talking over their monitors. We deal with software stuff all day, looking at code and trying to fix things that aren't working right. It’s not the kind of place with a big receptionist desk or fancy lights. Usually, someone is just making tea in the corner or checking their emails. There are a few desks pushed together and some old filing cabinets that probably need a clean-out. Being in a residential-looking area makes it feel a bit more relaxed than those huge office parks. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is. We keep our schedules fairly regular, arriving around nine and staying until the work is done. It’s a small group of us here. We know each other's coffee orders by now. It’s quiet work, really. Most of our day is spent sitting in front of screens, but we try to take breaks and look out the window at the street. It’s just a normal workplace where we get through the tasks we have on hand. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just keeping the software running.
