You can find Silver Mobile & Service on Rander Road over in Makarpura. It’s a small shop, easy to miss if you’re driving too fast. We do a lot of repairs here. People bring in phones that have been dropped in water or have screens that are completely shattered. It’s steady work and keep us busy from morning till night. The back of the shop is where all the tools are kept. It looks like a mess to anyone else, but we know exactly where every screwdriver and soldering iron is hidden. Makarpura is a busy area, so there’s always people walking by. Some stop in just to ask for directions or to see what’s new. We don’t mind. We aren't trying to be the flashiest place on the block. We just want to get the job done so people can get back to their day. The counter is a bit scratched up from years of use, but it’s sturdy. We’ve been here long enough that the regulars know our names and stop to chat. Sometimes we have to tell people a phone can't be saved, and that's never fun. But most times, we can figure something out. We work under those long fluorescent lights that flicker sometimes when the power is acting up. It’s just us, some spare parts, and the sound of the traffic outside on Rander Road. We keep it simple and just do what we can every day.
