We are located at Shed No. 755/F in the GIDC area of Makarpura. It is right across from the Purohit Hotel, which is where I usually go for my lunch break. Being in a GIDC estate means it is always busy with big trucks and workers moving around. Our shed is pretty large because we need the floor space for all the stock we move. It gets very hot under the corrugated metal roof during the summer months. I usually have a small fan blowing right on my desk just to stay comfortable while I work. We sell various industrial items to the other businesses around this area. It is mostly bulk stuff, so there is a lot of loading and unloading going on throughout the day. The floor is concrete and has some deep cracks from the heavy pallets we move. I have been running this agency for a while now. It involves a lot of phone calls and checking paper invoices. I know the guys at the hotel across the street pretty well by now. The air in Makarpura always smells like grease and truck exhaust, but you stop noticing it after an hour. We do not have a fancy front office. It is just a small corner with a wooden table and a few plastic chairs for when customers come to pay. Most of the time, I am out on the floor checking the crates. It is a busy environment and there is always something that needs counting.
