Baroda Bearing Center

Baroda Bearing Center has been part of Vadodara for quite some time now. We don't have a complicated setup, just a shop filled with rows and rows of metal bearings in all sorts of sizes. If you walk inside, you will notice the smell of machine oil and the sight of cardboard boxes stacked up to the ceiling. It can be hard to find things sometimes, but we have a general idea of where the different brands and sizes are kept. People come to us when they have a machine that is making a grinding noise or a wheel that won't turn smoothly. We spend a lot of time looking at old, rusty parts that customers bring in, trying to find a match that fits exactly. It is a lot of measuring with calipers and checking through thick catalogs that have seen better days. The shop can get a bit dark in the back, so we use handheld torches to read the tiny numbers stamped into the steel. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know the inventory. Vadodara is a busy place for industry, so we see all kinds of people from small garage mechanics to guys working in the bigger factories. We just stay open until the sun goes down, helping whoever walks through the door find the right part so they can get back to their own work. It is a simple, steady routine.
