Shree Padma Chemist & Drugist

Shree Padma Chemist & Drugist is over at Shop No. 5 in the Sukumfi Complex. We are right on Tharali Road, and if you look across the street, you can see the canal. It’s a busy road with lots of bikes and cars zooming past all day. Being in the complex means we have a few other administrator shops around us, so there’s always someone to talk to when things are slow. Our shop is filled with tall shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a little step ladder to reach the stuff at the top, which can be a bit of a pain when we are in a hurry or the shop is full of people. The counter is usually covered in notebooks where we keep track of what we need to order next. We get a lot of people stopping by on their way home from work because we’re easy to spot from the road. The air always smells a bit like medicine and paper inside. We have a small fan that tries its best to keep us cool, but it mostly just pushes the warm air around the room. Sometimes the canal gets a bit of a smell in the summer, but we’re used to it by now. We just focus on filling prescriptions and giving people what they need. There’s no big corporate office telling us what to do. We just run things our way.
