Shree Gayatri Vidhya Mandir

Bodeli isn't the biggest place, and our school is right here in the middle of things. Most mornings start with the sound of bicycles rattling into the yard and kids shouting to each other before the first bell. We’ve been at this address in Vadodara for a good number of years now. The building shows its age in a few spots, but it stays cool enough when the sun gets heavy in the afternoon. We have a few rooms where the fans squeak a bit, but they do the job. The teachers usually get here a little early to sit in the staff room and have some tea while they look over their notes. It’s a pretty straightforward place. We don’t have fancy gates or anything, just the usual walls and a lot of students who know exactly where their desks are. Sometimes the dust from the road blows in, so we spend a lot of time sweeping the floors. The kids play out front during the break, mostly just running around or playing with stones. It gets loud, but that’s just how a school is supposed to sound. We keep the registers updated by hand and make sure the parents know if their child didn't show up. There isn't much to say other than we show up every day and do what needs doing. It’s just a local spot for local families who want their kids to learn their lessons.
