Ambe School

Ambe School is located right in the middle of Manjalpur. If you know Vadodara, you know this part of town has grown a lot over the years. We see kids walking in every morning with their heavy bags, and the parents dropping them off on scooters or bikes. It’s a loud place when the bell rings for recess. We spend our days mostly handling the paperwork in the office or checking on the classrooms to see if the chalk and boards are ready. The building has been here for a while, so it has that lived-in feel. We don't have a lot of big fancy displays, just the usual drawings and notices pinned up on the walls. Most of us who work here live nearby, so it feels like a neighborhood thing. During the summers, the classrooms get a bit warm, but we keep the windows open. The traffic on the roads outside is always there, but we’re used to it. We just focus on the lessons and making sure the kids stay out of trouble during the breaks. It’s a simple routine that repeats every week. Sometimes we have small events or sports days on the ground, which gets everyone a bit excited. Otherwise, it’s just about getting through the syllabus and helping the students understand their books. No one here is trying to be anything other than a local school. It's just a regular part of life for everyone who lives in Manjalpur.
