Shehnaz Boutique

Shehnaz Boutique is over on Warasi Road in the Fatehpura area. We are right across from the Pratap Banglow. It’s a well-known building, so it makes finding us a lot easier for people who aren't from this specific part of town. We do a lot of sewing and fitting here. The boutique is where we keep our machines and all the thread and buttons. It’s often a bit cluttered because there is always a project halfway finished on the table. We take pieces of cloth and turn them into something someone can wear. It takes time, and sometimes we have to redo a seam or change a measurement, but that’s just how tailoring goes. We aren't a big factory or anything. It’s just a small shop where we focus on one garment at a time. The street outside can get quite noisy with people going about their business in Fatehpura. We usually have the radio on or just the sound of the sewing machines running. People stop in to check on their clothes or to bring us something new to work on. We’ve been on Warasi Road for a while and have built up a regular group of people who come to us. It’s a simple life, just working with fabric and needles every day until the sun goes down. We don't worry much about being trendy, we just make sure the clothes fit right.
