Amit Amol Fashion Designer Choreographer

Our studio is over in Akota, specifically at A 25 Shrenik Park near the Shree Nath Marble shop. It’s a bit of a weird mix here because we do fashion design and choreography. You might see someone getting fitted for a dress in one corner while a group is practicing a dance routine in the middle of the room. It gets very loud when the music is pumping. We have mirrors all along one wall and racks of clothes along the other. It’s a bit of a mess most of the time. There are bits of thread and fabric scraps on the floor, and we’re always tripping over someone’s shoes. Gurunanak Nagar is a decent area, but the parking can be a nightmare when we have a lot of people coming for rehearsals. Amol and I have been doing this together for a while. We don’t have a big staff, so we do everything ourselves, from cutting the cloth to picking the songs. It’s exhausting but we like the creative energy. Sometimes we stay until midnight trying to get a sequence right or finishing a hem. The heat in Vadodara makes the studio feel like an oven sometimes, but we just turn the fans up and keep moving. It’s not a polished boutique; it’s a working creative space where things are constantly being made or practiced. We don't worry too much about the decor as long as the work looks good and the dancers know their steps.
