I've been working out of 44 Subhanpura in the Sanskar Bharti Society for a good while now. It is a quiet enough spot most mornings, though you get the usual neighborhood sounds as the day picks up. My name is Malini Rawat and this is where I handle all my daily tasks and paperwork. The office isn't anything fancy, just a desk, some chairs, and those old metal cupboards that everyone seems to have. Sometimes the sunlight comes through the window a bit too strong in the afternoon, so I have to adjust the curtains. People in the society usually recognize me coming and going by now. It is a nice area because you are close to everything you need but it doesn't feel like you are right in the middle of the heavy city traffic. Most days are pretty much the same, drinking tea and getting through the files on my desk. I try to keep things organized but sometimes the papers pile up when it gets busy. There is a small plant on the windowsill that I forget to water occasionally, but it manages to stay green. Getting here is easy enough for anyone who knows the Subhanpura area well. It feels more like a home than a stiff office building, which I think makes the work a bit more relaxed. I usually start around nine and stay until the work for that day is finished. It is a steady routine that suits me well.
