Sevasi High School

We are located on the Main Road in Sewasi, right in Vadodara. The post office is nearby, which makes it easy to explain our location to anyone who is not from around here. Being on the main road means we see everything that happens in the village. It is a straightforward building with a few floors. We do not have any of those modern glass walls or anything like that. It is just concrete and paint. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the school pretty hard, so we usually keep the shutters down a bit. The staff here are mostly local people who have lived in Vadodara for a long time. We know the families and we know the area. The school has been part of the Sevasi landscape for a while now. It is not a quiet place, especially when the bells go off and everyone heads home. The traffic on the main road is steady, mostly bikes and the occasional bus. We keep things simple inside. There are desks, some old maps on the walls, and the sound of people talking. We do not really do the whole corporate thing here. We are just a local high school trying to get through the syllabus. We spend our breaks drinking tea and talking about the weather or the local news. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place for all of us and our neighbors.
