Roopa Engineering Works

If you head down BTS Road in Vadodara and look for the Verai Matas Temple, you will find Roopa Engineering Works right nearby. We have a modest workshop where we do all kinds of metal and engineering tasks. It’s a typical local setup with a wide rolling shutter that stays open most of the day to let in the light and air. The sound of hammers hitting metal or the buzz of a lathe is pretty much the soundtrack to our lives here. We have a lot of scrap metal and unfinished parts sitting in the corners, which might look like a mess to some, but we know exactly where everything is. The temple being so close gives the area a nice feeling, especially during festivals when you can hear the bells and the prayers while we work. Our team is small, mostly just a few guys who have been doing this kind of manual labor for years. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just have our tools and our hands. When a customer comes in with a broken part, we take a look, talk about how to fix it, and get to it. The floor is stained with oil and the walls are a bit dark from years of soot, but it’s a place where real work gets done. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny office; we just want to finish the jobs we have on the bench.
