Down in Vadodara, specifically the Subhanpura area, is where we handle things for Respite Hotels Pvt Ltd. Our office is at House Number 11 in the Aatma Shardha Society. It’s on High Tension Road in Section 2. Being inside a residential society makes the work day feel a bit different. It’s more peaceful than being right on a main commercial street. We’ve been running the business from this spot for a while now. The office is basically a converted house. We have a small backyard where we sometimes take our breaks in the afternoon. There are four or five of us working here most days. We handle the bookings and the management stuff for the hotels. It’s a lot of phone calls and emails. We don't have a lobby with a fountain or a fancy receptionist. You just walk in and see us at our desks. We like it this way because it’s practical and keeps the costs down. Subhanpura is a good neighborhood, and we’ve gotten to know the people living around us. Sometimes we share snacks with the neighbors. We aren't a big corporate entity with a glass office in a skyscraper. We’re just a small private limited company doing our job in a quiet corner of Gujarat. We don't have any scripted speeches about what we do. We just work hard and try to keep things organized. It’s a simple, honest setup that works for us.
