Our shop is down on the ground floor of Raj Trade Centre, specifically Shop No 7. We are right on the Sayajigunj Main Road, so it is pretty easy to spot us if you are driving by. PM Regency is just across the way, which helps people find us when they get lost. It gets quite crowded on this road during rush hour, but that is just how it is in Vadodara. Inside the shop, it is mostly just us handling ticket requests and looking at bus schedules. We have been sitting at these same desks for quite some time now. Some days are packed with people wanting to go on holiday, and other days we just sit and drink tea while waiting for the printer to stop jamming. We do not try to be anything we are not. It is a simple travel shop for the locals. Most of our regulars are people from around Sayaji Ganj who have been coming to us for years. We know their names and where they usually like to go. It is not a corporate office with a dress code. We just wear what is comfortable and get the job done. If someone needs a ticket to Mumbai or a bus to Ahmedabad, we look it up. That is the bulk of what happens here every day. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever needs help with their travel plans.
