Purohit Caterer

We run Purohit Caterer out of A1/2, Mahalaxmi Park Soc in Baroda. It’s a residential society, so it feels very much like a family business. The address is in the 390022 area of Gujarat. Most mornings, the kitchen is the busiest place to be. You can hear the large pots clanking and the smell of spices usually drifts out into the society lanes. We have lived and worked in Mahalaxmi Park for years, so the neighbors are used to the vans coming and going. The office part is just a small room with a desk where we take the orders and talk to customers on the phone. It’s a bit crowded with all the equipment and supplies stacked up, but we know where everything is. The floor is tile and we keep it as clean as possible, though flour always seems to find its way into the corners. Baroda is a good place for this kind of work because people here love their food and there is always some function or wedding happening. We don't have a big fancy storefront, just the unit in the society where the real work happens. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big order is due, but we manage to get it done. It’s a local operation, and we take it one day at a time, making sure the food is ready and the vans are loaded. That’s just life at Mahalaxmi Park for us.
