Phone Shop

Our shop is located at 101 Akota Road, right near the big intersection where it meets Sinhgad Road. It is a very busy corner, so there is always a lot of noise from the traffic and horns outside. We sell basic mobile phones and some of the newer smartphones too, though we mostly see people looking for repairs these days. If your battery is dying too fast or the speaker is muffled, we can usually take a look at it for you. We have got a lot of spare parts and old boxes piled up in the back room, so the place looks a bit messy if you peek behind the counter. I have been working here for a few years now and it is a steady job. We see a lot of students from the nearby area coming in for cheap screen guards or used cables. We also do phone top-ups and help people set up their new devices if they are struggling with the settings. The lighting inside the shop is not the best, but we have good small tools for those tiny screws in the handsets. Sometimes a customer brings in a phone that has been dropped in water, and we have to tell them the bad news. That is the part of the job I do not like. We do not have a big team, just a few of us taking turns. We keep the place open fairly late.
