Paridhi

We have our small shop, Paridhi, at GF 4 in the Hadapsar area of Vadodara. It’s not a very large space, just a ground floor unit where we keep our collection. We mostly handle clothes and some small accessories. The lighting is okay, but we could probably use a few more lamps in the corners. I spend a lot of time folding and refolding the fabrics so they look decent on the racks. It’s just me and sometimes a helper here. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy sign. Most people just find us while they are walking through the building. The glass door always has fingerprints on it no matter how many times I wipe it down. We have a small changing room in the back that is a bit tight, but it works. Sometimes the stock stays on the floor in boxes for a few days because I haven't had the time to put it all away. It’s a quiet kind of business for the most part. I sit at the desk and wait for people to come in and browse. I don't like to push people to buy things; I just let them look around. Hadapsar is a busy area, but our little corner in GF 4 stays fairly calm. It’s a simple shop and we just take it one day at a time, hoping the styles we picked out are what people want to wear.
