Paresh Suthar

My place is at 39/465 in GIDC, over in Subhanpura Phase IV within the Naroda Industrial Township. It’s a mouthful of an address, but it’s where I spend most of my waking hours. Paresh Suthar is the name on the door, and it’s basically just me and a couple of helpers running the show. We’re right in the middle of the industrial zone, so it’s always loud with the sounds of machinery and trucks passing by. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a fancy meeting, but it’s perfect for the kind of hands-on work we do. The shop floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or scraps, and my desk is buried under sketches and notes. I’ve been here for years, and I know this corner of the GIDC like the back of my hand. The light in the morning is actually pretty nice through the high windows, even if the view is just more factories. We don't have a marketing team. Most people just show up because they know I can fix what’s broken or build what they need. It’s a very manual, grit-under-the-fingernails kind of existence. I like the independence of it. We don't follow any corporate rules here. We just work until the job is done right and then we go home. It’s honest work in a busy part of Naroda. Sometimes the roof leaks a little when it rains hard, but we just put a bucket under it.
